Paris, 01/30/2025 - The French Deeptech Tchek confirms its pioneering role in automotive inspection thanks to artificial intelligence. In 2024, the company experienced record growth of 158% in its digital customer base, driven by the rise of new uses: pre-inspections at the end of leases, optimized fleet management and digitization of processes. With more than 700,000 analyses carried out in 2024, Tchek demonstrates the growing impact of its solutions on the rapidly changing automotive market.
Growth under the sign of AI performance
In 2024, Tchek surpassed 700,000 analyses, recording a significant growth of 158% in its digital customer base. This performance was made possible thanks to a technological turning point with a recall rate of over 95% for damage detection, an unprecedented threshold that reinforces the reliability of the solutions for the main players in the sector. Last year was marked by the launch of new AI models, paving the way for new automations: analysis of dashboard lights, interior and mileage reading. Thanks to its diversified customer portfolio, Tchek is positioned as a key observer of trends in the mobility and automotive sectors. Its partners are leasing companies, financial captives, corporate fleet managers, dealers, manufacturers, and online used vehicle sales platforms, among others.
Tchek's main asset lies in the combination of cutting-edge technology - ALTO AI, with a digital platform capable of integrating directly with its customers' APIs, and a team of experts dedicated to digital transformation, thus facilitating the transition from manual process to automation by artificial intelligence.
Changing Practices and Massification of Digital Inspections
Tchek is a key player in the evolution of the automotive and inspection sector because it has been able to adapt and respond to new uses. In 2024, medium and long-term rental performed particularly well, especially because of their search for new sources of profitability and customer loyalty. In 2024, this activity accounted for 15% of Tchek's turnover.
Tchek, a pioneer for 8 years, develops solutions based in particular on the remote inspection of vehicles carried out by the end user. This approach allows professionals in the sector to optimize flows quickly and reliably, while providing a self-inspection service that can be done by drivers anywhere, at any time. This notably optimizes travel, since a professional does not need to be physically present for all inspections.
Tchek's historic scanner solution, based on centralized fleet inspection, has been licensed on a non-exclusive basis to the German group Instavalo, which is developing its own scanners.
Another illustration of this revolution is the democratization of the vehicle purchase, home delivery and conveying/logistics market. This phenomenon leads to targeted inspections, vehicles having to be picked up from individuals and delivered to other individuals. Between 2023 and 2024, this activity increased by 12% at Tchek.
Thus, Tchek's data shows an increase in the use of vehicle inspections by the end user:
- Increase in the number of end-of-contract vehicles inspected directly by individuals, which reduced the travel and costs required for inspection (97% of motorists who start their inspection journey go to the end of the journey)
- Reduction in return costs per car in LLD averaging –€300 in one year
At the heart of the economic crisis hitting the automotive sector, pre-inspection is no longer limited to prevention, it becomes a new essential link in automotive remarketing. Proof of Tchek's recognized expertise, the company launched in 2024, a vast end-of-contract inspection program for a manufacturer client for more than 10,000 vehicles.
2025: consolidation and acceleration
The latest change in the sector, which will necessarily accelerate in 2025: the electrification of the inspected fleet. The ambition for 2025 is to intensify recognition models in this sense: tire wear and broken glass. The technological objective is also to strengthen the actual recognition models applied to video.
"Demand for automated inspection has increased considerably in recent months. However, the sector faces major challenges: social, environmental and technological. At Tchek, we have been addressing these issues since our launch, they are part of our philosophy, says Anton Fert, CEO of Tchek. However, these new practices seem to be transforming traditional inspection flows. The self-inspection represents a lever of innovation, to optimize the carbon footprint of the automotive sector and meet the growing demands of users. Our solutions are designed to integrate easily, and adapt to all types of vehicles, as we have illustrated convincingly in 2024, and which we intend to extend in 2025."
